Welcome to eCreator eCelerations, the latest addition to AMTELCO's efforts to help our users “eCelerate” their business with all things eCreator. This inaugural issue brings you the latest with eCreator, new ideas on getting the most out of eCreator agent and IVR scripts, and an event schedule of opportunities to find out more about all the possibilities that eCreator provides. Our goal is to help you continue to increase your service offerings, and as a result, your revenue, with eCreator.

AMTELCO Script Library
Did you know? New things are happening at: www.amtelco.com/library. AMTELCO has created a new web-based Library to provide a location to share and exchange eCreator Agent and IVR scripts with other users. AMTELCO will share scripts we’ve created ourselves and there is also an area for users to submit scripts they wish to share. It’s easy to use these scripts to:
  • Save Set up Time
  • Network Accounts More Easily
  • Learn New Programming Ideas

Download an existing script from the library and modify it to meet the needs of your new client. Network accounts with other centers more conveniently by distributing the script in an easy method.

 

Find a script that does what you need and modify the downloaded version to fit the needs of your clients. Scripts you submit or download can even include Databases & Reports, making account set up even faster.

New eCreator Scripting Enhancements

The New eCreator Software Version 2.9 includes several profitable new features and enhancements for your call center, helping you meet the needs of even more clients. The ability to use multiple criteria on dbUpdate elements will simplify scripting. Also included are: TAP Paging update, updates to the embedded browser integration with Infinity Windows Operator application, updates to template pages and more…

 

Microsoft MapPoint Integration
eCreator now includes an optional integration with Microsoft MapPoint. Create scripts that will bring up a map as part of an eCreator script. Manipulate the map by zooming in, getting driving directions and much more.

 

FrontPage 2003 Compatibility
Microsoft FrontPage 2003 includes changes and enhancements with which eCreator is now compatible. Use the new version of eCreator with the latest version of FrontPage with ease.

Supervisor Enhancements
eCreator Supervisor provides a simple way to create and manage eCreator scripts. With Version 2.9, Supervisor includes new capabilities that make it even easier. These new features include a simplified way to republish a script to a new location and to edit template pages. There is also a link to the new Script Library. New enhancements to the database wizard make creating databases for eCreator scripts even faster and the new printable script will help you document scripting for your clients.

 

Appointment Taking Enhancements
Version 2.9 includes several enhancements to eCreator’s optional Appointment Taking Application, such as:

New eCreator IVR & Just Say It Enhancements
Version 2.9 also includes enhancements to eCreator’s IVR system and “Just Say It” Automatic Speech Recognition”

 

eCreator IVR (Interactive Voice Response) New Telephony Integration
eCreator’s IVR system now includes support for the AMTELCO’s new XDS T1 PRI ISDN board. Integration with this new board allows IVR to have an even tighter integration with Infinity and with a PBX via ISDN QSIG signaling.

 

eCreator IVR (Interactive Voice Response) – Just Say It! Speech Recognition
eCreator IVR now includes a new optional module called Just Say It! Just Say It! is an advanced speech recognition application. It uses SpeechWorks’ high performance voice recognition technology that allows IVR scripts to listen for words or phrases spoken by a caller.

 

Simplify call processing by voice enabling menus to allow callers to speak an option instead of entering DTMF tones. In addition to listening for commands, Just Say It! can instruct IVR to gather information from the caller and store it in the IVR database. This can range from simple Yes/No commands, to speaking a person’s name, or an ID or credit card number. The possibilities are unlimited. Just Say It! provides the tools to build dictionaries of words or phrases needed for each application and includes simple drag and drop elements to add speech recognition to your eCreator IVR scripts.

 

Ideas
eIdeas is the “Scripting Ideas” column to help you think outside the box to get the most out of eCreator. Have you ever thought about using eCreator scripts for in house workflow management? How do you process and track your inbound sales calls and leads? An eCreator script can lead your personnel through all the benefits and features that you want to be sure to inform potential clients of and save all the information collected, including any prices quoted, directly into a database for tracking and promotional purposes. And since it’s web-based, no software needs to be installed, just type in the URL or add it to the Favorites list in any browser and access to the script is just a couple clicks away on any PC.

 

Another workflow management task that eCreator can simplify is data entry. Do you ever enter BRC cards or other leads for your clients? Remember with eCreator, you don’t have to install any software, so the entry can begin immediately from any computer in your office without delay. And eCreator’s validation tools reduce errors and “eCelerate” entry with time saving features like filling in city and state based on postal code.

 

Have you been thinking of doing a customer survey? Use an eCreator script to inform your clients about your services consistently regardless of your personnel’s experience and save all the data collected in a database that can be mined for all the riches derived from survey results. Are you happy with the way your Customer Service calls are handled? Why not create an eCreator script to make sure that each of these complex calls are handled exactly the way you want. Making a Textbox on a Page Invisible
Making a textbox invisible on a page is sometimes necessary when the script requires the field to be on a page but you do not want the field to be visible to the agents. One example of this is when using the DbPicklist to do a lookup in a database. Currently the lookup field has to be on the same page as the DbPicklist even if it is not necessary for the agents to see it on that page.

 

A work around for this would be to make the field invisible. Therefore, it will still be on the page but will not be visible to an agent.

 

To make a textbox invisible, you need to double click on it to get to the properties window. Once you are in there, click the Formatting Tab. In the Class field, type in collapsed. This will make the field invisible on the page.
